Lowe’s “10% Off” Coupon
If you are moving or have recently moved, you can get a "10% Off" coupon for a purchase up to $5,000! There are a few limitations on what you can include in the purchase, but this coupon can really help!
Jenn and I used this coupon when we were in heavy "update the house" mode last year.

NOTE: I figured that if Lowe's had a 10% Off deal, then Home Depot would too. A very short search showed that YES, Home Depot also has a very similar deal. One can get a "10% Off" coupon from Home Depot for a purchase up to $2,000 by registering at the Home Depot moving site. Get your Home Depot "10% Off" coupon HERE.

You can purchase 20% off coupons on Ebay. So if you are making a large purchase you can get 3 20% off coupons for $9. This would add up to a tremendous savings.

I used the Lowe’s 10% coupon last summer when remodeling my kitchen, and they were pretty good about honoring the coupon multiple times even when I no longer had the coupon. Just ask nicely at the register and the cashier will often call over a manager to do the necessary override. This worked especially well for me because I bought almost everything on my first trip ($3,000+), and took BACK something on almost every subsequent trip - so I had my receipt showing 10% off and I was buying at least one “replacement item” - they gave me the 10% off the replacement item and everything else in my order each time I went there. This probably worked well for me because mine was a very intense two-week project so I was there almost every day and they got to know me pretty well - it probably wouldn’t work over a longer period of time.

DON’T BUY THE 20% OFF COUPONS! THEY ARE FAKE!
Neither Home Depot nor Lowe’s even make 20% off coupons any more. If you want 20% off, get a REAL 10% off coupon & then buy a gift card on eBay for 90% of the value. That’s what I did and so far I’ve saved over $200 this summer.
You can also save money if the store is out of stock on an item… just get them to sell you a better one for the same price! I’ve saved about $100 that way this summer.
