This is why I am in favor of "cash envelopes" and not "cash socks".

I can not understand why someone would put it inside of a sock, inside of a shoe, inside of a closet and not burry it in the back yard, under the tree, under the garden gnome like a normal person.
Guess she has never heard of the FDIC.

I don’t think you’re being fair to her. A person who will break into a home will steal an envelope just as easily as a sock. Your post has the tone of “my way is better,” and I just don’t see it. Your responder at least suggests a bank as “safe,” but an envelope better than a sock?! Come on!
