Guilt Free spending… That’s why I love my budget.

Growing up I lived in a house that was always having the utilities cut off and living paycheck to (not quite) paycheck. As an adult I tend to hold on to money pretty tight because I don’t ever want to live like that. So, what could be the problem with being a saver?? Well, I never allow myself to spend money on wants for the fear of maybe being without money and the shame of having the utilities disconnected. That’s where the “I love my budget” happens! With the budget, I can see all the mathematics… Thus I can spend money on wants without feeling guilty.

Easier to say no to kids when they ask for something. Also, I find my kids studying the budget and making suggestions for next months budget, so it’s an excellent teaching tool.
