REMINDER: Small Business Class WEDNESDAY

A reminder to everyone in my hometown of Anderson, SC that I will be teaching a small business class at the Anderson Area Chamber of Commerce this Wednesday, April 1 (no foolin' Wink) from 8:30AM - 10:30AM.

This is one of a series of small business classes that I am teaching.

The title of this class is "Using Social Media To Boost Your Small Business".

At Compass Church TOMORROW – Athens, GA

I am PUMPED to be at Compass Church (Pastor Jim Carpenter) in Athens, GA tomorrow!

I will be speaking during their morning services as part of their STRIP series.  I will be talking about some things we need to strip from our lives when it comes to money.

It is going to be a blast!

Here is what makes me even more PUMPED:

The crusade travels to Compass Point Church in Lakeland, Florida (Pastor Chris Elrod) this weekend.

 

My team is FIRED UP about this weekend!  Here's why:

  • We get to deliver a full crusade package of Financial Counseling Experience (training financial counselors to provide FREE counseling), Speaking during Sunday message, and the Financial Learning Experience.
  • THEN, they are launching the I Was Broke. Now I'm Not. Group Study.  The FLE provides the practical teaching.  The Group Study provides the accountability to ensure the learning meets application!
  • Chris Elrod is a comedian.  Seriously - he traveled doing comedy - look him up on YouTube!
  • It is in FLORIDA!!!!

I believe that when people are financially free, they are much more likely to go do EXACTLY what they have been put on earth to do - regardless of the income potential.

I have said it so many times, but I am more passionate about it today than I ever have been.  It is my life's calling to help others accomplish far more than they ever thought possible with their personal finances.

I will wear myself out for this call.

Revolution Church Time!

I am STOKED about the opportunity to speak at Revolution Church tomorrow morning.  In the afternoon, I will be teaching the Financial Learning Experience.  My family and The Saving Freak's family were able to meet up with Gary Lamb and his family for dinner.

Whenever I have spoken at a church more than once, it provides an opportunity for me to evaluate the changes that have taken place with the crusade since the last visit.  So much has changed!  The last time I visited Revolution, it was the first time we had professionally printed Financial Learning Experience booklets!   We were BIG TIME!!!

What has changed since then?  Just about everything!

Here is a quick list of the changes that come immediately to mind:

  • I Was Broke. Now I'm Not. has been released and several thousand copies have been sold.  (I guess I can't accuse my Mom of paying people to buy it anymore!)
  • The I Was Broke. Now I'm Not. Group Study has been released and several thousand copies have been sold.
  • New Websites have been developed.  The Next Steps page and supplementary Group Study sites are helping others take their next steps toward financial freedom.
  • We have trained over sixty financial counselors.  Twenty five of them at NewSpring!  You can get trained too!
  • The I Was Broke. Now I'm Not. team has grown.

What changes are in store?  Well, Monday is a day for a HUGE announcement in the life of the crusade!

Unbelievable Events Last Weekend

Last weekend was a highlight for the I Was Broke. Now I'm Not. (IWBNIN) Team.

Here is how it rolled out ...

Friday 4:00PM

I traveled to Atlanta with a member of the IWBNIN Team, Paul Moyer (a.k.a. Saving Freak)

Paul went to Dallas.  I went to St. Louis.

Saturday AM

I spoke at Meadow Heights (Pastor Bryan Mills) and taught the Financial Learning Experience at both of their campuses.  It went INCREDIBLE!  Tons of people showed up, and the message series taught by Bryan had them prepared to take action with their finances.

Meanwhile in Dallas, Paul taught the Financial Counselor Experience and trained six new financial counselors at Springcreek Church to help them launch their new financial ministry.  Bob Bickford's planning was absolutely incredible.  Seriously, if you want to talk to someone who has a vision for impacting a community with practical biblical financial teaching, you should contact Bob.

I traveled from St. Louis to Dallas.

Sunday Early PM

I taught the Financial Learning Experience to an audience of more than 500 people!  Incredible.  Over 30% of the adult population of Springcreek showed up to a financial seminar.  Life change took place.  104 people signed up for one-on-one financial counseling (glad Paul trained counselors!), 101 signed up for the I Was Broke. Now I'm Not. Group Study.

Sunday Late PM

Paul and I jumped a plane home to SC. 

It was a weekend spent helping others accomplish far more than they ever thought possible with their personal finances so that they can go do EXACTLY what they have been put on earth to do.

That, my friends, is what this crusade is all about!

I am excited to be on the way to Wilmington, NC for a weekend of life change!


 

On Saturday morning, I have the fantastic opportunity to train financial counselors through the Financial Counseling Experience.

I am PUMPED about 2009!  This crusade takes tons of people to make it work, and I am so honored that so many of you have participated in or volunteered to serve at one our events.

I am also stoked to see that the crusade will be traveling in ways that do not require me to travel!  The I Was Broke. Now I'm Not. Group Study is being implemented into small groups and medium size groups in dozens of churches.

That PUMPS ME UP!  I am so honored that I get to serve so many people, churches, and businesses and be a part of life changing work.

I can not believe what is happening with this crusade!  I am continually blown away by the blessings God has poured out on this thing.
