Marathon = 26.2 miles = Personal Finances

If you have been following me on my Twitter posts, you know that I have been talked into running a full marathon again.

Perry was unwilling to run again.  He might be the smart one in this deal.

A full marathon.  That is 26.2 miles of non-stop running.  It is four months of training runs including individual runs of 14, 15, 16, 18, and 20 miles each.

My last marathon was two years ago in San Diego.  This one is in Houston.  In January.

As I trained for my last marathon, I did a series of posts relating how a marathon was similar to management of my personal finances.  You can check out those posts HERE

The biggest benefit of running a marathon?  The fact that I can eat whatever I want and STILL lose weight.

    Excited to hear that you are training for a marathon. My wife and I are also training for our 2nd marathon, Shamrock in Virginia Beach in March. Between now and then we plan on Half’s at Spinx, Kiawah and Tybee Island.

    I look forward to following your progress here and on Twitter.

    Enjoy reading your Financial info. I’m a big Dave Ramsey fan, just finished Total Money Makeover (my wife too) and look forward to being debt free soon thanks to some recent financial blessings.

    It’s important because my wife will be starting Law School in 2009 and my oldest daughter will begin college at the same time. Yikes!

    We love NewSpring and I hope oen day to be able to volunteer to help others become debt free as well.
