SERIES: Save Money On Groceries – CouponMom.com

Welcome to the latest series from the I Was Broke. Now I’m Not. Team – Save Money On Groceries

Ready to save $100 – $200 every month on groceries?  Read this series, and we will show you how!

CouponMom.com

If you are not using CouponMom.com, there is a high chance that you are way overpaying for your groceries.

In our Financial Learning Experience events, I have the opportunity to share some money saving ideas.  Of course, I always wish I had ten or eleven hours to share as many of them as possible, but there is not enough time.

One that I ALWAYS mention however, is CouponMom.com.

Here is how it works:

  1. Obtain Sunday newspaper coupon booklets (issued by SmartSource, RedPlum, and P&G)
  2. Mark the date issued on the coupon booklets – do NOT cut the coupons
  3. Sign up to CouponMom.com (click HERE to sign up – it is FREE!)
  4. Every week, go to CouponMom.com and pull up your store’s deals under the “Grocery Deals By State”
  5. CouponMom.com will tell you which coupon booklets to cut coupons from and how to use them to obtain an average of 50% to 85% OFF!

It sounds too good to be true, but I use this myself!  I KNOW it to be true!  For example, this week I went to Publix (grocery store near my house) and had a bill of $69.00.  I received $33.98 OFF after using my coupons.  This was not for useless junk that I will never use.  This is for cereal, pickles, ice cream, vitamins, toilet paper, paper towels, and many other products that I would purchase anyway.

Have you used this service?  If so, share your victory stories!  If not, get started and save a ton of money.

I have not started using Couponmom.com yet, but I have been using southernsavers.com. It’s amazing how much you can save on items at grocery stores and drug stores. The site’s owner does all the hard work for you so it isn’t very time consuming to get your lists and coupons gathered for each sale. I’m hooked on saving money for groceries now! I don’t buy anything unless it’s on a great sale and/or I have coupons!

I love couponmom.com!!! So many people think Publix is overpriced, but if you combine their BOGO sales with coupons you can get some major steals! Plus I always make sure to go on Sun or Mon so I can get the penny item if I spend at least $10.
I also grocery shop at Kroger, Ingles, and sometimes Target. I know which items are cheapest at which store. An excellent idea is to keep a price book, which I learned from ‘The Tightwad Gazette’, you’ll be amazed how much regular prices vary from store to store on the same items.
One more thing, I never buy a Sunday paper yet always have plenty of coupons! I go to our local newspaper recycling bin and pull out the coupon inserts each week 🙂

I would like to add something in case anyone is wondering…yes, I DO have permission to take coupon inserts out of the recycle bin…I’m not being sneaky and stealing them 🙂

I shop at Publix.I have found that they have a clearance rack and the first week it is 25% off the next week it is half off. My daughter needed formula for my grandson I went to Publix and bought 3 large cans powdered for 17 dollars for all three of them. I payed less then what she would of payed for one. I use couponmom.com every week and the money I have saved. My daughter thinks my cabinets are a store for her to go though. I have bought disposable razors for 75 cents a pack. Not store brand. I have been using couponmom.com for one year and love it. I get the comments from the other customers that are behind me until they see how much I save. The girl at walgreens calls me the coupon queen and I feel proud and thank couponmom everytime I walk in and see how much I can walk out with for very little money. I tryed other websites that you pay for and why pay if it is free and the very same information is there. With money being tight everyone needs to save at least on groceries.

I also go though the recycle bins to get the coupons out of the paper. My huband calls me cheap and did not believe coupons could save but now he is a believer.
