529 plans are excellent tax-advantaged ways to invest money for college education. Below is a list of all the 529 college savings plans, by state, in alphabetical order.

In general, there are additional tax advantages (usually a deduction from your state taxes – not very beneficial if you live in a state that doesn’t have income taxes!) when you choose to invest in your own state’s plan.
