Why Do You Do What You Do?

I can’t believe that I get to do what I get to do for a living! Every single day, I get to help people, churches, and businesses FREE themselves financially.   Every. Single. Day.   It is life-giving, joy-filled, and affirming!   I get to help hopeLESS people become hope FUL.   I get to help leaders fund their dreams.

So on this lovely Friday, I want to start off this Labor Day weekend with a huge POSITIVE.   I want to hear what you do and why you do it!   Click on the “comment” link and share with us all.   Let’s share and read each other’s reasons and celebrate the fact that we get to do Life-Giving work!

Can’t believe I’m the first one! Good Morning everybody! I work for big pharma for over 10 years now. Great company who lets me work remotely so I can live near my daughter and 5 grandchildren. I work from my home and travel every once in awhile to headquarters. Amazing how you can do that now with the communication tools of e-mail, conference calls, and webex meetings. I am responsible for making sure our products are on health plan drug formularies, both commercial, Medicaid, Medicare Part D, etc. So indirectly, I feel I am helping people get access to medicines to better their lives. With the economy the way it is, I thank God every morning when I sit down at my computer knowing I have a job today – and pray for those that don’t. Have a great holiday weekend!

I am a child advocate at a homeless shelter. I LOVE IT!
I comforted a mom today as she was on the verge of losing her children. PRAISE GOD they were not taken away!

I am self-employed as a freelance bookkeeper. I enjoy using the gifts God blessed me with to help others organize their finances. I recently lost a major account (20hrs a week of work) and it has made me draw closer to the One that directs my path. I pray I continue to grow and depend on Him more each day. I am excited to see what direction God leads me. He is faithful (always)!
